Urban trekking between earth and sky: among the most beautiful gardens of Florence, the path lies along the southern hills of the town, where roses iris olive grooves and small vinyards are, reveiling breathtaking panoramas and lovely unexpected sights.

AM: visit to the Villa Bardini and Garden: through a Renaissance orchard, flights of steps, the wisteria pergola and the anglo-chinese garden, it’s possible to arrive to the panoramic terrace and to the villa where you marvel at one of the largest panoramas of Florence. The tour proceeds inside the villa, where the Museum Annigoni and the Museum of the Capucci Foundation are, together with another extraordinary panoramic terrace.

Then it goes on towards the Belvedere Fortress, built by Buontalenti in 1590-1595 for the Medici family, and through here it enters into the Boboli Gardens, the greatest monumental parc in Florence.

Out of Boboli, break for lunch.

PM: the itinerary take the Viale dei Colli to go up to the church of San Miniato al Monte, impressive example of florentine Romanesque style: visit to the church and, following, stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, recently become pedestrian.

Visit to the Giardino delle Rose (Garden of the Roses), with 350 species of roses and statues by the Belgian artist Folon.

In Spring the tour includes also the visit to the Giardino dell’Iris (Garden of the Iris), an olive grove with 3000 varieties of the flower simbol of Florence.

In the end, the path goes down the ‘Rampe’ as far as the Gates of San Niccolò, along the Arno river again…
