Day 1: ARRIVAL IN FLORENCE AND GUIDED WALKING TOUR OF THE HISTORIC CENTRE

Group is welcomed at point of arrival, accompanied to 4-star hotel and settled into accommodation.

Later, an official guide leads a panoramic walking tour for overview of main sites and highlights, including the Duomo, the Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio

Free time
Dinner in a restaurant in the city centre. Return to the hotel.

Day 2: FULL DAY FLORENCE

Breakfast in the hotel.

AM: meeting with guide for a tour of the buildings linked to the Medici family, to discover the history and the art works commissioned by the greatest patrons in the Renaissance Tuscany, between the sacred and the profane: visit to the Museum of San Marco, that keeps the refined frescoes by Fra’ Angelico, and the Medici Palace with the priceless Chapel of the Magi.

After a short break to taste a cappuccino, the walk proceeds to the Museum of the Medici Chapels, where the monumental tumbs carved by Michelangelo are.

PM: official guided tour of the Uffizi gallery, the extraordinary museum where you can marvel at the most famous paintings from the italian Renaissance: the great masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio

Free time

Dinner in a restaurant in the city centre. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: SIENA AND PIENZA

Breakfast in the hotel.

AM: transport by bus to Siena. Meeting with guide for a tour of the city centre. The itinerary leads you throughout all the main sites: Piazza del Campo, the great fan-shaped square with the brick paving that slopes down in the direction of the Palazzo Pubblico; then you walk down via di Città alongside noble palaces and to the Duomo, with its unique black and white marble decoration that you can marvel at both outside and inside (entrance not included on Sundays).

Return to Florence. Dinner. In a restaurant in the city centre. Return to the hotel.

Day 4: HALF DAY FLORENCE

Breakfast in the hotel.

AM: meeting with guide for a stroll in the florentine Oltrarno to visit the church of Santo Spirtio, built by Brunelleschi, that keeps a wooden Crucifix by young Michelangelo, and the Brancacci chapel ornated with fresco by Masaccio in the 1420s.

Lunch in a restaurant in the city centre. Return to pick up point.
